Privacy Policy

This page tells you what information connercrowe.com collects, how it is used, and how you can opt out. The site is operated by Conner Crowe (referred to as "I" or "me" below). Contact: hi@connercrowe.com.

What I collect

Four categories of data, in plain terms:

Information you give me directly. If you fill out a contact, audit, or scheduling form, I collect the fields you submit. That may include your name, email address, website, role, ad-spend range, and the message or business context you provide.
Usage and device data. The site and its service providers may receive IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and interactions such as clicks and scrolls. Microsoft Clarity may provide session-replay and heatmap data; form fields and sensitive page content should be masked from those recordings.
Analytics and advertising data. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic, conversions, and advertising performance. Those providers may associate activity with information they already hold under their own policies. When advertising cookies are on, Google Ads may also add your browser to my remarketing audiences, so you may see my ads later on other sites. You can turn off personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com. PostHog records page views, clicks, form steps, and, only with your consent, session replays with form fields masked. The cookie banner section below explains what runs before and after you choose.
Security data. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical signals when you use the contact form to distinguish people from automated abuse.

How I use it

To respond to your inquiry and provide the service you requested.
To understand how the site is performing and improve it.
To measure the effectiveness of any paid advertising I run.
To protect the site and forms from spam, fraud, and abuse.

I do not sell or rent contact information that you submit to me, and I do not give it to unrelated third parties for their own email marketing. I do share data with service providers when needed to operate the site, respond to requests, schedule meetings, measure performance, and secure the service.

Service providers

The site currently relies on the following providers:

Cloudflare for hosting, security, performance, Turnstile, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page loads and page speed without cookies.
Web3Forms for form delivery.
Google for Tag Manager, Analytics, and advertising measurement.
Meta for advertising measurement.
Microsoft Clarity for aggregate behavior analytics, heatmaps, and session replay.
PostHog for site analytics and, with your consent, session replay.
beehiiv, which holds the email list from a newsletter I no longer run. Email me to have your address removed.
Calendly if you book a meeting.

These providers may process data in the United States or other countries and apply their own privacy terms. Their services and policies may change over time.

The cookie banner

What runs before you answer depends on where you are. Session replay never starts until you click Accept all or Analytics only, wherever you are.

Visitors in the United States

Before you answer. Analytics and advertising cookies are on. Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel load, and PostHog counts visits with a first-party cookie. Microsoft Clarity does not load and nothing is recorded as a session replay. The banner stays on screen until you answer.
Accept all. Everything above stays on, and PostHog and Microsoft Clarity may record a session replay with form fields masked.
Analytics only. Advertising cookies and the Meta Pixel switch off. Analytics cookies, PostHog session replay, and Microsoft Clarity session replay and heatmaps switch on.
Reject. Everything optional switches off, as described for Reject below.
Browser privacy signals. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, I treat it as Reject and nothing optional loads.

I do not sell your personal information. The advertising cookies and pixels above share browsing data with Google and Meta for ad measurement and remarketing, which some state laws call "sharing". Reject, the privacy choices link, or a Global Privacy Control signal opts you out of it.

Visitors everywhere else

The site asks before it sets analytics or advertising cookies. None are set until you choose.

Before you answer. I count visits with PostHog using your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. PostHog also keeps one flag in local storage that records whether you opted in or out; it holds no identifier. Google's tags load in a mode that sets no cookies and sends Google only cookieless signals. Nothing is recorded as a session replay.
Accept all. Analytics and advertising cookies switch on, the Meta Pixel loads, and PostHog and Microsoft Clarity may record a session replay with form fields masked.
Analytics only. Analytics cookies, PostHog session replay, and Microsoft Clarity session replay and heatmaps switch on. Advertising cookies and the Meta Pixel stay off.
Reject. PostHog stops, analytics and advertising cookies stay off, and Google's tags, the Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity do not load, so Google receives no signals from your visit.
Browser privacy signals. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, I treat it as Reject.

Whatever you choose, the site remembers the answer in one first-party cookie, cc_consent_v1, for 180 days, and Cloudflare Web Analytics still counts the page load and its speed without cookies.

I work out which set of rules applies from the country Cloudflare reports for your connection. If it cannot tell, you get the opt-in banner.

If you reach the site from one of my Google ads and send a form without rejecting advertising cookies, I may report that inquiry to Google Ads as a conversion, using the ad click ID from the page address. I only do this for visitors in the United States and Canada. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy choices link at the bottom of every page.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies through your browser, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage advertising preferences in your Google, Facebook, or Instagram account. Blocking measurement technologies may make site analytics less accurate but should not prevent you from reading the public site.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information. To make a request about data you submitted through this site, email hi@connercrowe.com. I may need to verify the request and may retain information when required for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes.

Retention

I keep inquiries and business correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. Analytics and advertising providers retain data according to their settings and policies.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and I will note the substance of the change.

October 22, 2026: added PostHog, described what the cookie banner does before and after you choose, and explained how browser privacy signals and Google Ads conversions are handled. Later the same day: Reject now stops Google's tags from loading, and I added Cloudflare Web Analytics, the PostHog opt-in flag, the consent cookie, Microsoft Clarity's place in the banner choices, and remarketing. I removed Stape, which the site does not use.

October 25, 2026: visitors in the United States now start with analytics and advertising cookies on and can opt out with Reject, the privacy choices link, or a Global Privacy Control signal. Session replay still needs a click everywhere. Visitors outside the United States keep the opt-in banner.
